How to request your repeats

There are several ways in which you can request your prescription.

1. If you have just registered and have not had prescriptions from us before please use the repeat slip from your previous GP, just mark the items that you require and post it in the letter box by the front door. If you have lost your repeat slip you will need to bring an empty box or bottle of the medication your require which has your name on it.

2. If you have regular prescriptions please use the repeat slip at the back of your prescription, if you collect your prescriptions from the chemist or have them delivered you should get the slip in with your drugs.

3. If you have lost your repeat slip, there are forms at the receptions desk that you can fill in and pass to the receptionist. You can, if you wish, send it to us by post (with a SAE if you wish to have it sent back to you) or fax it on 589025.

How long will it take?

From the time we receive you repeat prescription request, we aim to have it ready for you to collect in 48 hours.

What if I run out?

We would request that you allow 2 working days for your prescription to be processed.

If you find that you have run out of your medication it is possible to request from the pharmacy enough medication to tie you over until your repeat has been processed. We are only allowed to process a very few items the same day. These are: Contraceptives, Asthma Inhalers, Heart tablets, Diabetic treatments and Epilepsy treatments.

Can I make a request over the phone?

We cannot take prescription requests over the phone.
We like to review medication every few months, so you may be asked to see your doctor for your next prescription.
