Practice Nurses

Our practice nurses provide a full range of services between 8.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday by appointment only.

They are responsible for a wide range of health matters including blood tests, adult and baby immunisation, travel advice and immunisation, removal of stitches, dressings, and ear syringing.

They promote good health through dietary guidance, blood pressure checks and advice on smoking and alcohol. The nurses also conduct asthma, heart, stroke and diabetic clinics, and are fully trained in family planning and HRT, taking smears and teaching self breast examination.

Our Health Care Assistants hold deicated phlebotomy clinics for patients needing a blood test.

District Nurses

The District Nurses work closely with doctors and visit patients who cannot attend the surgery for nursing care. They visit patients over the age of 16 and offer support and expertise including Wound care, Palliative care, Diabetes and Continence.
